The DeSoto Woodie Wagon is a good example of just how special woody wagons could be. As a material, wood imparts a distinct look of luxury and craftsmanship (hence its extensive use in automobile interiors to this very day). Unfortunately, wood, when used as an exterior material also requires enormous amounts of upkeep, hence the relatively few woodies still remaining.
