Mercer-Cobra Exner Interior - Limited Edition Fine Art Print

Car Culture

In 1964, the American Copper Development Association hired famed auto designer Virgil Exner to produce a show car that would demonstrate to the public the many potential uses of copper in automobiles. Exner lengthened the chassis of a Shelby Cobra 18 inches, and engaged coachbuilder Sibona-Basano from Torino, Italy to build the body. The result was the striking 1965 Mercer-Cobra.
